Did you know that the 24th of January has been proclaimed as International Day of Education by the United Nations? Well, we did and we celebrated it today!
In our English lesson the class of ACCU U2-5 conducted a collaborative project concerning what education is for us. More precisely, we created miscellaneous word clouds on our iPADS and we designed some others in different shapes. We also created our own acronyms from the word "education". We learned so many new words education-wise using our dictionaries.
We also searched for famous quotes about education and we read about famous activists in the field of education, as for instance Malala Yousafzai. Our older students accumulated such quotes and created a virtual poster on Canvas.
The younger ones played some interactive games learning the school subjects in English and the values of education, such as "inclusion" and "equality".
In the end, we watched a video from which we learnt about sustainable development goals in pedagogy and then we set ours, we wrote about our ideal school and how we would like it to be and we created our own timetable.
